Welcome to The Home Page of District 8 of
Alcoholics Anonymous.

ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. A.A. is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.

Website Statement of Purpose

NH AA - District 8 Website will be the voice of Alcoholics Anonymous for District 8 on the public Internet. Its staff will be primarily accountable to District 8 as a whole. Within the bounds of friendliness and good taste, the Web Site will enjoy perfect freedom of speech on all matters directly pertaining to Alcoholics Anonymous within District 8. Like the A.A. movement it mirrors, there will be but one central purpose: the Web Site will try to carry the A.A. message to alcoholics and practice the A.A. principles in all its affairs.

We observe all A.A.'s Principles and Traditions on our Web Site. As anonymity is the "spiritual foundation of all our Traditions" we practice anonymity on our Web Site at all times. Our Web Site is a public medium, which has potential for reaching the broadcast possible audience, and, therefore, requires the same safeguards that we use at the level of press, radio, and film.
